For makeup use natural tones in the lips that make us look sweet, romantic and warm during the cold season. Apply colors in peach, pale pink these colors come in different shades for your skin tone, don't forget the lip balm after applying your lipstick, you can apply the same colors also in the cheeks and eyelids during the day or night. If you like to look mysterious add a touch of drama with dark shadows in shades of gray, dark blue, purple, shades, blend eyeshadow creating the Cat Eye look, finish with mascara and eyeliner.

Movie Break! "Weakness"

This past summer I had the opportunity to be part of a movie as jewelry designer! Yes my jewels in a movie with Hollywood actors, how exciting! The movie is call “Weakness” is an independent film due to be released in 2010.

Interview with fashion Photographer Fernando Colon.

Fernando Colon is a successful Fashion Photographer who has worked in New York, London, Japan, Buenos Aires and his native Puerto Rico.
He has since produced countless images for fashion designers, catalogs, and magazine editorials.

DD: How did you become a photographer?
FC: Photography is something I was doing constantly since my first camera around the age of fourteen. I would bring my 35 mm point & shoot camera with me everywhere I went and took photos of all the people around me -whether they liked it or not. I was passionate about photography, but I did not know it until I hit college. I grew up knowing how to draw pretty well so I studied Illustration at the High school of Art & Design in New York City, and Visual Arts at Sagrado Corazon University in Puerto Rico. I loved to draw, but studying art intensely was not for me. When I heard that there were Photography studies at my college it suddenly became very clear to me that this was what I really wanted to do. Therefore, I devoted myself to it, and eventually made it a career.

DD: What do you love the most about your job?
FC: Every day is different. Every shoot is different. The situations are always changing, and I am always learning something new. For me, that is what I love most about what I do. I still do not consider it a job.

DD: Tell me about working as a fashion photographer in New York and other cities.
FC: I am very fortunate to live in what is considered’the fashion capital of the world', and it is very exciting. As a fashion photographer, you play a key role in selling the clothing and accessories that are made by incredibly creative and hard-working people. You need to carry over their vision and visually turn it into something that will inspire the viewer/buyer. That being said, there is no shortage of fashion photographers in New York, London, Tokyo, or any of the major fashion markets... so competition is heavy. At the same time, it keeps challenging me, and the environment here just pushes me to always do better.

DD: If you could take a photograph of five, people, dead or alive. Whom would you pick?
FC: That is a tough one... I would photograph Gemma Ward, as model she is very striking. In addition, film director David Lynch -his movies often influence me. Sid Vicious, that would just be a blast. Bjork, I have been wanting since I was in high school. And Japanese singer Namie Amuro. I love music, so that would explain why most are musicians.

DD: Who is your favorite photographer?
FC: At the moment that would be "Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott" two fashion photographers that work as a team and produce some really wild stuff, but I'll always be most impressed by the earlier fashion photographers like Helmut Newton, Richard Avedon, Guy Bourdin, and Bob Richardson. Their fashion images really pushed the envelope and are still inspiring new photographers to this day.

Finally spring, what a wonderful time to start my blog and welcome you all!

I am so excited around this time of the year simply because I get to wear beautiful colorful clothes and of course be super playful with jewelry! This season is all about the colors of the rainbow, what a great mood injection especially during these harsh times. It’s rainbow bright to the rescue!
